The Sustainable Alternative Farming Institute^™ (SAFI) is a new non-profit organization for the benefit of family farmers. SAFI was founded for and is dedicated to the preservation of the small family farm, the rural community, and the sustainability of our society at large.

SAFI’s mission will be accomplished through the education of farmers, consumers, lenders, and institutions (universities, government agencies, businesses) about sustainable alternative agriculture, and what it means to each of these four groups.

The missions's second educational component will involve research plots, individual and group training, and a general store on the farm, carrying sustainable agricultural information in the form of books, seeds, farm equipment, and appropriate technology for sustainalbe alternative agriculture.
